- First order of business is to get felt sliders for your furniture. Placing furniture on felt sliders helps to protect the new flooring from being scratched and it also makes it easy to clean behind larger furniture as well.
- Area rugs should have a soft backing to a non skid pad underneath. Area rugs with rough backing could potentially damage the flooring.
- Hardwood is sensitive to moisture, it's very important to never soak the floor. Cleaning with excess water will damage Wood flooring.
- Any oils or aftermarket cleaner that put a glaze or a “shine” on the flooring are not recommended.
- Most of the routine cleaning will be done with a broom and a dust mop.
- Manufacturers also do not recommend steam cleaning or any harsh chemicals.
